Das Authoring Tool müsste es genauso anhand des Nero oder Pinnacle nachbearbeite erstellt das Programm dann doch eigene, neue Ifos oder? Ich bastele ja auch ein neues Menü etc. In den neuen Ifos würde meinem Verständnis nach dann ja wahrscheinlich das "erkannte" 4: Your family will be impressed when you send them your vacation photos shot with this camera.

Be careful, the Amazon description at my review time is still showing the camera supports i-Link aka firewire allowing pass-through of analog input to your computer and high speed file transfers.

The option is available on some of the other Sony digital camcorders but not this one. I informed Amazon to correct the description about a week ago. I was a bit disapointed, since I was considering using the camcorder to digitize my old 8mm tape library direct to my pc. You can record an analog signal say from old camcorder to the camcoder's DVD, but that is a min capacity of DVD at a time process and presumably would be considerable wear-and-tear.
File transfers to PC I can echo some of the other reviews that I have experienced one problem so far on a file transfer from camcorder to pc with the Picture Package software. I'm trying to file an alternative to Picture Package. This camera is great. It's small, durable, and produces excellent video and still images. I have a 3. It's great that the stills are saved to the DVD rather than a separate memory card.
The surround sound is also excellent. My only complaint the the actual microphone. There's a rubber seal around the perimeter of the microphone and it tends to easily slip out. It's easy to push back in but it seems like Sony could have designed this part better. Overall, this camera was an excellent purchase. I am not very familiar with the use of camcorders. This one I purchased a couple of weeks ago and I am taking it for a spin. This I can tell you.
The thing is amazing. The picture quality is better than most TV shows that I watch on my flat screen. It has a cool mechanism that dampens vibrations in the video when video taping using free hand. There is more to it and what I can tell you so far is that if you are an average user and not a fault finder you will definately not be disappointed with this purchase.
As a matter of fact I would buy this item over again if l lost the one I have. It fits in your hand like it knows you. The mini disc is so ease to use and allows for play back without any problems. Actually the camera is designed to think for you. This camera will simply meet you expectations except if you are one of those people that are hard to please. Go get it and find out. I have had to replace the battery with a larger capacity model and to replace the charger when it cooked.
